What you need before you start
- An NVIDIA GPU with enough memory for the coin's DAG — RTX 30, 40 and 50 series all work well.
- A wallet address for each coin you want to mine, so the pool has somewhere to send payouts. Each coin has its own address format, so don't reuse one coin's address for another.
- A mining pool for the coin (more on this below).
- A miner. We'll use the free HydraX miner because it mines all four KawPow coins and can dual-mine Monero from the same program — but the steps generalize to any KawPow miner.
Step 1: Pick a pool
Unless you have a large farm, you'll mine on a pool rather than solo — pooled payouts are small but steady instead of rare and random. For these coins, established pools publish a stratum address and port you point your miner at, then attach your wallet address as the username. Step 3: Edit the config with your coin, pool and wallet
Mining setup is almost always the same three facts: which coin, which pool, which wallet. Open the config file and set the coin (RVN, NEOX, XNA or FREN), paste the pool's address and port, and paste your wallet address for that coin. Add a worker name if you run more than one rig so you can tell them apart on the pool dashboard.
Switching coins later is the same edit in reverse: change the coin and pool lines to the next KawPow coin, point at that coin's pool, drop in that coin's wallet address, and restart. Nothing about your hardware or tuning changes.

Step 5: Start it and confirm accepted shares
Launch the miner and watch the console. Within a minute or two you should see it connect to the pool, build the DAG, and start reporting a hashrate. The number that matters is accepted shares — each one is proof your rig contributed valid work and is earning. If you turned on dual mining, you'll see both the GPU coin's shares and Monero's shares scrolling by. Once you cross the pool's minimum payout, the balance lands in your wallet.
Step 6: Tune for hashrate per watt
Stock settings are rarely optimal for mining. KawPow is fairly core-clock sensitive, while the memory clock matters too — but the real goal is hashrate per watt, not raw hashrate, because watts are your power bill. The high-value levers:
- Power limit — capping power usually trims only a little hashrate while cutting heat and electricity cost. Start here.
- Core clock — KawPow leans on core; a modest, stable core offset can lift hashrate. Push gradually and back off at the first invalid share.
- Memory clock — helps too, but don't chase it past stability; errors cost you more uptime than a few extra megahashes are worth.
